Suvanbhumi International Airport still CLOSED

I can’t imagine that Thailand’s airports ( Suvanabhumi and Don Muang Airports) has already been closed for several days now due to the ongoing protests. I’ve just read one of Thailand’s e-newspaper and it has been said that ‘ the damage from its closure is now “incalculable”.” There are an estimated 160,000 passengers both Thai and foreigners who are stranded both here and abroad due to its closure.
While Pornsilp Patcharinkul, a senior executive of the Board of Trade, said fresh food, orchids, electronics, jewellery and other exporters are badly hit by the airport closures with damage estimated to be around Bt3 billion per day.
I’m sure a lot of travelers are disappointed and frustrated with this situation but it’s even more sad for the Thai government and tourism industry that must have lost a lot because of these protests. I hope this would end soon.
