Typhoon Update in Northern Mindanao

Many parts of Northern Mindanao like Misamis Oriental, Gingoog and Cagayan de Oro City is currently experiencing a signal number 3 typhoon which is resulting to floods, landslides and power cut off.

As of date, more than 42,000 families have already been affected; 10s of thousands in the relocation sites, thousands homeless, 6 deaths and several people are missing. Warnings from PAGASA have also circulated that the typhoon will be stronger on January 16. People who are living in the small islands and near the river banks have already been told to evacuate. PAL flights have already been suspended too.

So, if you had plans to travel to Northern Mindanao during this time, then it is advisable for you to postpone your trip for now and wait until the weather is better.
