Nakhon Si Thammarat Musuem
Whenever we visit a new city or province, one place that I would always like to see is the museum. Aside from most of the museums giving ‘free entrances’, one can also learn a lot about the city’s history and culture.
The following photos are taken from the city museum of Nakhon Si Thammarat. It’s not a very big museum but I was impressed as to how they creatively ‘told’ their city’s history.

Upper L-R : The miniature classroom with the teacher explaining about Thai education; The dark room is actually a ‘ship’ which rocks back and forth (simulating a ship) as the movie is shown about the trading route. Lower L-R: the mini lake, with small boats which people used to sell things before; A Thai family during the olden times.

i enjoy museums, too. i love reading about the interesting things you find inside museums, and taking in new knowledge and information. thanks for sharing this. the boat ride sounds fun

wow! I love going to historical museums.
Very interesting and informational! I think the portraiture-way of telling the history of the city makes it more interesting. I like the idea! Thanks for sharing.

I wonder which part of Thailand this place is. Is it near Phitsanulok? I might as well ride a bus to take a peek of what’s inside this museum.
