These are the names of the Pandas in Chiang Mai. When we went to Chiang Mai zoo last week, we never missed to see the Pandas ( even if we have to pay an extra fee) because our kids love Pandas. They actually fell in love with Pandas the moment they saw them at Ocean Park in Hong Kong a few years back.
There were only 3 Pandas in Chiang Mai. They belong to the same family. Lin Ping is the name of the ‘baby’ who was the first Giant panda born through Gamete intrafallopian transfer in Thailand. Its mother is Lin Hui and father is Chuang Chuang. In the exhibit hall, one can see how Lin Ping was born and taken care by Thai scientists and veterinarians in their lab coats. They were actually specially trained by China’s giant panda specialists.
So, without further ado, here are the photos we took of Lin Pin and Chuang Chuang. Lin Hui was perched on top of a tree and the photo I have with her isn’t so clear.
