The Hat Yai Floating market has been one of the ‘newer’ attractions in the city. Every weekend, foreign and local tourist flock to this place to get a sample of local southern delicacies.
Whenever we have visitors, we also make it a point to bring them here since a ‘floating market’ is surely not an everyday scene in our home country. The concept of selling food from small boats is really unique especially as the locals were creative enough to present their products in an interesting way, like they sell drinks using clay pots or bamboos and adding orchids and little decorations on the food and drinks.
Here are a few shots that I took during our visit to the floating market last week.
