During our Manila trip last month, we had the opportunity to visit the Manila Ocean Park before, flying off to Bangkok. I’ve heard a lot of things about this place and thought that it would be a good place to bring the kids. Manila Ocean Park is just at the back of Quirino Grandstand ( near Luneta Park) and it’s a very accessible place.
Instead of paying the 400 pesos ( per person) entrance fee for the Oceanarium, we took the 500 pesos ( per person) package which includes the entrance to the Oceanarium, Jellies, Marine Habitat and Sea Lion show. I find the package price quite reasonable since the kids also enjoyed the extra attractions.
We only spent a little over 3 hours at the ocean park because we were in a rush to go to the airport for our flight. If we would have known better, we would have gone there a bit earlier so we could linger more at the Oceanarium. It’s good though that we went on a Monday so, the crowd was less and there’s a lot of space for the kids to run and explore things on their own.
All in all. We enjoyed our experience at Manila Ocean Park. The kids learn new things about marine life and were truly fascinated by it. Though it’s quite small in comparison to the Ocean Park in Hong Kong, but I could say it’s still worth the money we paid for.
